A for-profit marketer making its first foray into road trips is Windstream Communications, a telecommunications company formed in July that serves primarily rural markets in 16 states. Windstream is sponsoring what it calls “The Green Truck Tour,” sending a pair of customized 1953 Chevrolet pickups into 34 markets in 16 states to take part in events like the Pelion Peanut Party in Pelion, S.C.; Twins Days in Twinsburg, Ohio; and the World Chicken Festival in London, Ky.
BMW Motorrad USA has selected The Concept Farm, LLC, a leading multiplatform marketing communications agency in New York City, as its advertising agency of record.
The campaign will consist of traditional, interactive, direct marketing, events, promotions, sponsorships and guerilla marketing elements.
BMW of North America’s motorcycle division said it selected Concept Farm, New York, as its new agency of record for its estimated $2 million motorcycle account. The independent shop topped two other New York agencies, WPP Group’s G2 and independent Brooklyn Brothers.
