espnW is the voice for women with a passion for sports. We took that to a deeper social level.
Approach
We orchestrated a 98-day photo based social media challenge providing inspiration to our audience to document their journey and tag it #98DaysToShine. Using Google+ Hangouts and motivation from athlete ambassadors, thousands of women rallied bearing sweat and soul and sharing it with the world, culminating with a New York gallery exhibition “The Summer of W.”
Results
- Without paid media, reaching 17m social users with 10,000 photos submitted
- Increasing followers on Twitter by 24% and Instagram by 7,500%
- Creating an army of new loyalists who continue to champion the brand
- Digital Campaign of the Year at the Ad Age Small Agency awards
