AMF Opens its Doors Across All 262 Locations for Free to the Public, While Attempting a New Record for the “Most People Bowling Simultaneously”.
NEW YORK, June 10, 2014 /PRNewswire/ — Movie theaters, restaurants and clubs are taking a back seat as consumers trade in mundane Saturday nights for a “striking” night out. Bowlmor AMF, the largest operator of bowling alleys in the world, is bringing back Saturday Night Bowling in epic fashion by opening its doors for free bowling at all locations nationwide on Saturday, June 21, and inviting the public to take part in the biggest Saturday night bowling party ever. The evening will include a nationwide attempt to set a GUINNESS WORLD RECORDS® title for ‘The Most People Bowling Simultaneously in Multiple Venues.’ The free nationwide party and world record attempt is part of an effort to help re-establish Saturday night as “Bowling Night in America.”
Taking place throughout all 262 Bowlmor AMF locations across the country, the public is encouraged to stop by their local AMF, Bowlmor, or Bowlero location to enjoy a free hour of bowling from 7-8 pm EST, 6-7 pm CST, 5-6 pm MST and 4-5 pm PST. Interested parties can join in the festivities by finding their nearest AMF, Bowlmor, or Bowlero location.
The record-breaking event coincides with the launch of Bowlmor AMF’S new national advertising initiative, “Bowling Makes Saturday Night More Fun” – the first national advertising campaign for a bowling alley brand since the 1970s. With the recent merger of the upscale, trendy Bowlmor Lanes with the always classic AMF, the company continues to pave the way for the resurgence of bowling, bringing it back into popular culture and attracting a younger audience to America’s largest participatory sport.
